Step inside two of Britain’s most remarkable Arts & Crafts houses on this special tour celebrating craftsmanship and design.
Step inside two of Britain’s most remarkable Arts & Crafts houses on this special afternoon tour celebrating craftsmanship, design and the Arts & Crafts Movement.
Enjoy rare, expert-led access to Broad Leys, a private lakeside residence designed by the celebrated architect C.F.A. Voysey, and Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts House, designed by M.H. Baillie Scott. Together, these architectural gems reveal the philosophy and artistry that defined the Arts & Crafts Movement during the late 19th century.
Your knowledgeable guide will bring to life the stories behind each house—the makers, materials, and ideas that shaped their creation—while you take in exquisite details, fine craftsmanship, and sweeping views over Windermere.
The tour concludes at Blackwell, where you’ll enjoy a traditional cream tea in the Tea room or out on the terrace overlooking the lake.
