Young People: Artivism Zines with Roshi Rouzbehani

8 November 2025
2pm-4pm
£5

Join illustrator Roshi Rouzbehani to explore the powerful space where art and activism meet.

How can art be a voice for change? In this creative workshop with illustrator Roshi Rouzbehani, young people will explore 'artivism', the powerful space where art and activism meet. Inspired by the exhibition The View from Here: Contemporary Art from the Middle East and North Africa, participants will discover the DIY world of zines as a way to share bold ideas, personal stories, and activist messages.

Using collage, drawing, and hand-lettering, each participant will create their own fold-out zine on a theme that matters to them, from identity and heritage to social justice or climate action. We’ll also collaborate on a collective artwork to bring everyone’s voices together. By the end, you’ll have your own artivist zine to keep or share, proof that even the smallest format can carry the biggest messages.
