Join us to explore new exhibition ‘A body of knowledge: 500 years of book collecting at the RCP’ after hours.
New exhibition ‘A body of knowledge’ will be open to visitors after hours at our Museum Late on 2 October. Discover the doctors’ library, an enthralling collection that has shaped the minds, practice and identity of physicians for over 500 years.
A free curators tour of the new exhibition will run at 6pm and 7pm.
The Dorchester Library will also be open for visitors to explore art installation ‘Making visible’ created as part of the exhibition. Designed by doctoral researcher Catherine James, it highlights previously overlooked contributions of women to the RCP library.
Free entry, donations welcome.
The wider museum will also be open late that evening including the Treasures Room, portrait collections, anatomical tables and Censors Room.
The Regent’s Perk café will be open for free tea and coffee.
