Join us at the museum for an exciting Family Activity Days on 5 August ! Dive into the gripping history of the final months of the Second World War and discover the vital role the Gurkhas played in achieving VJ Day.

Get hands-on as you build, code, and tackle a challenge with a Lego vehicle. Can you succeed in your mission inspired by the events in Burma? Plus, step back in time to create your very own Red Cross parcel, based on those received by the prisoners of war in 1945. What modern essentials would you include for today’s Gurkha soldier?

Our activities run from 1000 to 1500, making it the perfect summer holiday adventure filled with fun and creating.

The Gurkha Museum will close for redevelopment towards the end of 2025 and reopen in 2026
