Poet Lynn Pegler takes us on a fascinating illustrated tour ‘Around Cheshire in 100 Poems and Pictures’, performing lively monologues and verse from her new book, inspired by the county’s intriguing people, places and history. This very special evening event will take place in the museum's contemporary first floor gallery, overlooking the remains of the medieval priory complex. A lift is available to reach the first floor gallery.

As the Norton Priory Museum Trust celebrates its 50th year, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy an entertaining evening of poetry and monolgues which seek to celebrate Cheshire's stories, often drawing attention to little known facts or amazing local stories. Of course, we are delighted that Lynn's collection includes a piece inspired by Norton Priory, with excerpts from the museum's guidebook.

There is free car parking at Norton Priory and there will be an opportunity to purchase signed copies of Lynn's book on the night.

Lynn serves as one of the county's Deputy Lieutenants and is the Chair of Norton Priory Museum Trust. Having lived and worked in Cheshire for more than 25 years, she is also the Festival Manager for Weaver Words literary festival in Frodsham, which has just celebrated its seventh year.

As well as being a poet, Lynn is also an award-winning playwright, a journalist and a PR consultatant. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from the Manchester Metropolitan University, has written/directed four plays and published a poetry collection ‘Salford Quays Unlocked – Voices of Manchester Docks’.
