Summer Storyboats 2025

11am, 13.30 and 15.00
£7

A gentle boat trip for accompanied children aged 4 -8 years, with story reading and wildlife spotting.

A gentle boat trip along the River Gade for accompanied children aged 4 -8 years, with story reading and wildlife spotting. We read picture book stories which are wildlife themed. Younger and older siblings are welcome but will be less appreciative of the stories. We aim for 50% of passengers being the story listening audience.

The boat is furnished with large beanbags and a number of chairs. If we see any water birds we will aim to feed them with proprietary waterfowl food. The great prize is to see the flash of blue which is the kingfisher. Amongst the possible wildlife to see are heron, egret, ducks, swans, geese, moorhen, fish, dragonflies and water voles. The trip last approx. 40 minutes.

All boats depart from near our entrance in Fourdrinier Way, HP3 9RY.
