Join this guided solstice walk, led by Shaun C. Badham, and encounter the stories, and themes behind Moore's sculptures.
Join artist Shaun C. Badham on a discursive walking tour around Henry Moore’s gardens. Shaun will take you on a journey of the in-between spaces that tell us more than we might think.
Stopping at twelve spots across the site, there will be chance for group discussions and sharing as Shaun offers personal thoughts and prompts at each location, including topics such as:
how methods of installing sculpture can suggest permanence or impermanence
how adaptable architecture facilitated Moore’s sculpture making.
can non-linear walking create desire path?
the history of land from private to semi-public.
animals as audience and architects.
how does public art operate in these grounds compared to the wider public realm?
reflections on Moore’s relationship with Stonehenge on the Summer Solstice day.
