Join us for a workshop inspired by items from our collections and the Zines Forever! display.
Join library facilitator Beth Milton for a creative writing workshop inspired by items from our collections and the Zines Forever! DIY Publishing and Disability Justice display. Together, you'll explore a selection of zines that celebrate personal storytelling and authentic voice.
You'll participate in several activities, including exploring the display, recording your memories, and engaging in collaborative discussions, to help you uncover new ways to reflect on personal experiences through writing. You'll then have the opportunity to create your own personal zine or 'perzine', inspired by the stories explored during the session.
The workshop is open to all levels, from beginners who want a place to start to more experienced writers who may be looking for a spark for their next piece.
