Be transported back in time once more for an evening of glorious Victorian entertainment performed by the New Player’s Theatre Company who return to the museum following acclaimed success last year, celebrating the incredible Victorian hospitality, entertainment and ice entrepreneur that was Carlo Gatti – the original owner of our historical museum building.

The museum doors open at 18.30 for a look around the museum - enjoy a drink from the bar as you discover the amazing story of Carlo Gatti.
Showtime is 19.30 -21.30 (with an interval).

The Players’ have been presenting Victorian Music Hall since 1936 including 56 years at The Charing Cross Theatre in London and 245 television episodes at the City Varieties, in Leeds of "The Good Old Days" which was broadcast on the BBC on a Saturday night.
Artist Director of the New Players’ Michelle Grant said; ‘We are delighted to be returning to The London Canal Museum which has such a wealth of history and connection to Music Hall and our home for many years, Charing Cross Theatre. We are so excited Carlo Gatti’s building will reverberate to the glorious sounds of the Music Hall, when we sing the wonderful songs that are an essential part of our heritage.
