This talk tells the story of one of Scotland's most enduring documentary films: \"The Big Mill\"

Septembers Heritage Social is given by Justin Parkes, Industrial History curator.

In 1962 the Films of Scotland Committee and steelmaker Colvilles commissioned a documentary film on the new hot strip mill at Ravenscraig Steel Works. This talk with excerpts included, tells the story of one of Scotland’s most enduring documentary films.

Archival photos of the steelworks will also be availible to browse.
