A FREE family workshop in association with Art History Festival 2024.
Penry Williams was a Welsh Painter, born in Merthyr Tydfil in 1802. Penry began his career as an apprentice to a house painter, later receiving training in fine art at the Royal Academy Schools in London. Penry’s early work included paintings of the Cyfarthfa Ironworks. Later he moved to Rome where he spent the majority of his life, Italy’s rich artistic environment and landscape deeply influenced his work.
This 'drop in' family workshop will give you the opportunity to recreate a Penry masterpiece of your own, using watercolour pencils.
