David Stuart's Young Horse Foundation Training Demonstration in the National Horseracing Museum arena.
David has over 35 years of experience from starting young horses and dealing with horses with behavioural issues to teaching people the foundations of horsemanship. His relaxed manner and comfortable presence in front of an audience has meant that his expertise has been showcased throughout the world.
NOW COME AND SEE HIM FOR YOURSELF IN THE NATIONAL HORSERACING MUSUEM ARENA!
Please note: Prebooking is essential. Please park in the Rous Road Car Park, Rous Road, Newmarket CB8 8DH, access to the areana is via the rear gate. The gate will be open fron 6.30pm. Seating is limited and on a first come basis.
Dave is a master at reading the horse, and you will see him working from the ground to prepare the horse for the saddle and then the rider. He works in a quiet manner, respectful of the horse and understanding of the needs and feelings in this, the first saddling situation. Depending on the situation, he may go on to put the first ride on the horse. It is stressed that Dave will only do this if he thinks the horse is ready and not just as a ‘crowd pleaser’. Trust and relaxation are absolute preconditions.
