Sirinu’s concert is a lively presentation of songs and instrumental music from Tudor times.
With lute, hurdy-gurdy, crumhorns and voices they enliven their concert with stories of Henry Vlll and of Elizabeth and her closest courtiers who danced to popular tunes and ballads.
The Elizabethan stage was alive to stories of murder, vengeance and love and Sirinu performs play songs, particularly those by Shakespeare, that brought in an audience of the rich and the poor.
Sirinu will introduce the programme and talk about the period instruments they use, all within the setting of the Tudor Hall.
