Special Event

Pride in Halton

6 July 2024
12:00pm - 7:00pm

Pride in Halton returns for the second year to Norton Priory.

Pride returns to Norton Priory for a second year, with celebratory events, presented by Pride in Halton CIC in collaboration with Norton Priory and A Place for Us CIC, Norton Priory's artistic directors.

For 2024, Pride in Halton will have a celebratory, party theme. Renowned drag queen Sheela Vim willl be compere for the day, with music provided by various vocal artists. Young people from GLOW will perform and will also lead a parade through Norton Priory's glorious woodland during the afternoon. Young performers from A Place for Us CIC will also take to the stage and the Harts and Voices choir will help to raise the roof, with performances of some classic songs.

The finale will be provided by the fabulous ABBA Attack, the perfect way to end the performances, with 2024 marking ABBA's fiftieth anniversary.

Before the event closes, a candlelit vigil will be held as a symbol of solidarity, remembrance and hope.

Pride in Halton 2024 will also include opportunities to browse a wide range of stalls, providing everything from advice to unusual and distinctive gifts.

As part of Norton Priory's commitment to support and champion the LGBTQ+ community, advance tickets for the event are being sold at just £6 per adult. The price on the day will be £7 for Pride or £11.50 for the whole site (including the Walled Garden), so we recommend purchasing your tickets early!
