Join us to celebrate Women’s History Month after hours. Explore the history of women in medicine at the RCP through our collections.

What early evidence can be found of women in medicine in the RCP records? Which famous doctor and suffragist campaigned for the RCP to finally accept women members? Which early female RCP member was General Medical Director for the WRNS and set up hostels to care for unmarried mothers with venereal disease? Who were the women who paved the way for female doctors, members, fellows and president’s of the RCP?

  • Drop in to explore special archives on display with an expert

  • Visit exhibition ‘Fortitude: healthcare workers’ experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic’

  • Enjoy our artwork, medical instruments and other collections on display.

6pm OR 7pm

  • Join a specialist Women’s History Month tour featuring examples from our collections.

Regent’s Perk Café will be open for drinks throughout the evening.
