Art Workshop: Screen Printing

The Armitt Museum hosts local artist Ben Dodge for an afternoon screen printing workshop. Ben will lead attendees through the technicalities of screen printing and each will be able to take home a set of prints for themselves. There will be two pre-selected designs and attendees will have the opportunity to design their own print as well. These designs can be printed onto high quality print paper and/or textiles.

Provided in the workshop

  • Screen printing inks

  • Materials for stencils

  • Printing equipment

  • Expert guidance by Ben Dodge

Attendees will need to bring

  • Up to three textiles/garments that they wish to print onto, for best results these would need to be natural fibre e.g. a cotton t-shirt or hoody.

Attendees will have the opportunity to print each of the three designs onto print paper and on up to three textiles/garments for up to 6 total printed items to take home at the end of the session. Please dress appropriately for a workshop involving ink, attendees must be 18+.
