This day-long conference supported by the Paul Mellon Centre will explore key themes from Beyond the Page: South Asian Miniature Painting and Britain 1600 to Now.
Presentations, talks and discussions by artists, art historians and authors will consider the entangled histories of Britain and South Asia and its impact on the evolution of the miniature painting tradition and its revival as an aesthetic and critical force in the 20th and 21st centuries.
