The Cowper and Newton Museum are delighted to be working with folk musicians Jon Bickley, Angeline Morrison and Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne for a performance in the museum courtyard. This one-off special afternoon will also feature the Invisible Folk Club band and the Bedford based children's choir, The Fusion Choir. Led by musician and song-writer Jon Bickley, “Grace Will Lead Me Home” is a project supported by Arts Council England, that combines the research into John Newton’s life in Olney, his involvement in the slave trade and the abolitionist movement. The culmination of this research will be translated into brand new songs written and performed by these talented musicians, which tell the stories inspired by the life and contemporary discussions around John Newton.
