Set in late medieval Italy and Essex, Anna Brass’ short film draws on diverse imagery to depict a world in a state of flux. This world is populated with strange objects and characters: oversized pilgrim badges, a mystic-activist saint and talking maiolica pots. The film is full of sculptures, backdrops, structures and costumes made with makeshift materials, and the cast are all non-actors. ‘Haukebodde Hacoud Hacwod Aukud’ is supported by Stuart Croft Foundation.
