Discover the Bloomsbury group's influential women and their cherished gardens.
This summer, the Garden Museum unveils a major exhibition delving into the gardens of the Bloomsbury group, focusing on four remarkable women and their lush havens: Virginia Woolf's Monk's House garden, Vanessa Bell's creative space at Charleston, Lady Ottoline Morrell's Garsington Manor, and Vita Sackville-West's Sissinghurst Castle gardens.
The exhibition offers a unique glimpse into the intertwining worlds of literature, art, and horticulture, celebrating the distinctive green retreats shaped by these influential figures in British culture. On display will be paintings, photographs, garden tools, correspondence, and more to reveal the connections between these women, their creativity, and their gardens.
