The Lowry is a spectacular waterside building housing an outstanding collection of work by popular British artist LS Lowry (1887 – 1976).

The Lowry arts centre in Salford is home to the world's largest collection of paintings and drawings by the artist LS Lowry, with around 400 works of art representing all periods of Lowry's career.

As well as changing displays reflecting the many themes of Lowry's work, the gallery presents temporary contemporary art exhibitions, and two theatres and a studio space present a full schedule of performing arts.
