The Museum of the Order of St John tells the story of the ancient religious military Order, through to its modern-day role with first aid and the St John Ambulance.
The history of St John's Gate and the Order is interwoven with the stories of many important characters from the past, including Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, Suleiman the Magnificent, William Shakespeare, William Hogarth and Dr Samuel Johnson.
