One of the world’s most famous artworks, Pierre-Auguste Renoir's The Umbrellas, is coming to Leicester as part of The National Gallery's 200th birthday celebrations. National Treasures sees 12 iconic artworks loaned to galleries and museums across the UK.
The Umbrellas will be shown alongside a newly commissioned animation that explores the meaning and ideas behind the artwork. The family friendly animation shows the artwork in a new light, opening this important piece of history to a wide variety of new audiences.
