Discover over 50 women artists who pushed the boundaries of art through the radical language of abstraction.
In the two decades after the Second World War, women artists were pushing the boundaries of art while exploring the seismic cultural, social and political shifts of the time. Beyond Form: Lines of Abstraction, 1950 - 1970 will spotlight over 50 women artists from across the globe who used abstract forms, materials and modes and shared in its language.
Largely sculpture, the exhibition will include works by Louise Bourgeois, Eva Hesse, Hannah Wilke, and Agnes Marten, and will trace how the collective language of abstraction transcends geographical and cultural boundaries through sculptural forms.
