Aimed at home educated families and groups, explore the world of naturalist Frank Oates.
Based on the story of Frank Oates and his trek through Southern Africa to the Zambesi River, this workshop includes discovering more about the people of Southern Africa, investigating the adaptations of animals from around the world and learning explorer skills using compasses in the grounds of our museum. All activities are hands on and interactive.
Some activities will take place outside whatever the weather so please come dressed appropriately. Please bring a packed lunch. Light lunches and hot drinks are also available from our onsite café.
Suitable for 5-12 year olds- younger siblings may attend and there is no charge but please book a ticket so we know they are coming!
