Norena Shopland will take you through an account of the girls and women at work in Welsh Coal Mines.

Norena Shopland has uncovered an amazingly detailed account of the girls and women who worked at Welsh coal mines from the 17th century to the 20th. Stories that will make you cry and cheer as these women fought for 100 years to keep their jobs. Shopland’s talk, loaded with fascinating images, will show how far women’s history still needs to go.

If you wish to purchase Norenas new book, copies will be available at the end of the talk.
