Located in the town's historic Tolbooth, the award-winning Tolbooth Art Centre tells visitors the story of the Kirkcudbright 'art colony' through an audio-visual show 'The Artists' Town' and through the permanent display of paintings from the Stewartry Museum collection.
The top floor of the building has a gallery and studio, showing an annual exhibition programme of largely contemporary art and craft exhibitions.
