Even though restrictions are being eased from the 19th July, we will continue to live with the pandemic virus. Stockport Museums have opted to leave some of the new health and safety measure in place to ensure the safety of visitors and staff for the time being.

We will continue with the following measures:

  • We recommend that visitors buy/book a timed entry ticket online in advance of their visit.
  • We continue to operate a one-way system around the museum.
  • We have reduced visitor capacity to ensure that social distancing is possible.
  • We recommend that visitors wear a face covering when inside the museum.
  • We recommend the use of hand sanitising stations at entry and exit points.
  • We continue with enhanced cleaning protocols.
  • For full visitor information please visit: for more information.
