Salford Museum and Art Gallery incorporates the Victorian Gallery and Lark Hill Place, an atmospheric recreation of a typical northern street during Victorian times.

There are also five other temporary exhibition spaces. Particular highlights are the excellent collection of 19th-century paintings on display in the Victorian Gallery, and the tiles and pottery produced by the local Pilkington Company in the North Gallery. Several temporary exhibitions, children's activities and adult workshops are programmed all year round.
