The former seat of the McCrum family, one of Ulster's leading linen manufacturing dynasties, Milford House boasts beautiful interiors.

Credited with revolutionising the linen industry, the McCrum family created the model village of Milford – and lived in a house famous for being the most technologically advanced in 19th-century Ireland, with hydroelectricity, six luxurious bathrooms with a Turkish bath, jacuzzi and even a waterfall in the dining room.

Though the family fortune was later lost in the Wall Street crash, the house stands testament to their dynasty and is packed with family furnishings, portraits and works of art.

Opening times

The house will open seven days a week for guided house tours by booking only. Tours are available 12-6pm each day.
