Gallery of Costume

The Gallery is housed in Platt Hall, an 18th-century textile merchant's home.

Home to the Cunnington collection of 18th- to 20th-century clothing, the Gallery of Costume also houses a significant library and archive holding 18,000 books, journals, fashion plates and shop catalogues, and 21,500 portrait photographs, including material not held in national collections.
