A place 'where ideas are made visible', Camden Arts Centre welcomes people of all ages and abilities in the creative process of making.

A varied exhibition programme, residencies and education programmes have gained Camden Arts Centre an international reputation as a forward-thinking organisation where artists and others can see, make and talk about art.

Placing artists at the core of the programme, Camden Arts Centre strives to involve members of the public in the ideas and processes of today's artists, and the artists who inspire them.

Over more than two decades the centre has introduced London audiences to significant international artists: Karin ‘Mamma’ Andersson, Mary Heilmann, Hilma af Klint, Kerry James Marshall and Kara Walker are among those whose exhibitions at Camden Arts Centre were their first in the UK.

Exhibitions feature emerging artists, international artists showing for the first time in London, significant historic figures who have inspired contemporary practice and artist-selected group shows relevant to current debate.

Alongside a programme of residencies, events, projects and courses, the site offers a specialist bookshop, as well as a cafe and a garden which is open all year round.
