Biggar & Upper Clydesdale Museum is temporarily closed until further notice. Please check the venue's website for the latest details.
The museum explores 14,000 years of rural and small town life and highlights the area's archaeological and social heritage.
The new Biggar & Upper Clydesdale Museum, which opened in July 2015, contains the combined collections formerly housed in Moat Park Heritage Centre and Gladstone Court Museum. In addition to the museum galleries, there's an archive room and an area for temporary exhibitions.
Permanent collection
The collection focuses on the people who have lived and worked in the area from prehistoric times up to the mid 20th century, and the objects on display illuminate a small part of their ordinary and extraordinary lives.
