Athelhampton is a superb early Tudor manor house, set within 160 acres of parkland and formal gardens.
At the heart of the house is the Great Hall built in 1485, from where visitors enter the Great Chamber and library in the East Wing, moving on to the Kings Room and the wine cellar.
There are fine bedrooms in the West Wing, and the second-floor gallery shows the work of the Russian émigrée artist Marevna, who lived at Athelhampton between 1948 and 1957.
