Video: Berthe Morisot
Art historian Jacky Klein explores the story of this gifted female Impressionist painter.
Berthe Morisot was a talented young painter when she united with a group of revolutionary painters known as the Impressionists. Morisot exhibited in the ground-breaking Impressionist exhibitions, sold paintings at considerable prices and inspired her brother-in-law Édouard Manet in the use of colour.
Inventing Impressionism is on at the National Gallery, London until 31 May 2015, 50% off with a National Art Pass.
