Sadie Clayton on Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up

Published 27 June 2018

We caught up with fashion designer Sadie Clayton, who talked to us about her passion for Frida Kahlo and why the V&A's latest exhibition devoted to the artist is one of the must-see shows of the summer.

Sadie Clayton is a fashion designer and artist based in east London. Fascinated by design, she explores the creative boundaries between art, technology and fashion, presenting her Spring/Summer 2017 collection at the Royal Academy of Arts in holographic form, before most recently working with augmented reality for her 2018 collection at M&C Saatchi. She has also collaborated with Adobe and Tate.

Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up – which offers a unique opportunity to view the personal clothing and artefacts of the iconic Mexican artist – is at the Victoria and Albert Museum until 4 November 2018. There is 50% off entry with your National Art Pass.
