Jonathan Yeo on Rodin and the Art of Ancient Greece

Published 1 June 2018

We caught up with artist Jonathan Yeo who talked to us about his new-found passion for sculpture and why the British Museum's latest Rodin exhibition is one of the must-see shows of the summer.

Jonathan Yeo is perhaps best known for his painting but has recently branched into sculpture, following a partnership with Google Arts and Culture which saw him experimenting with virtual reality and advanced 3D scanning to produce a large-scale bronze sculptural portrait called Homage to Paolozzi (Self Portrait), which can be seen in the film above.

Rodin and the Art of Ancient Greece – which features a selection of Rodin's work, including his iconic sculptures The Thinker and The Kiss, shown alongside the ancient Greek sculptures which inspired them – is at the British Museum until 29 July 2018. There is 50% off entry with your National Art Pass.
