Display: Reunited: Shannon, Rickettts and their Greek Vase

The artists Charles Shannon and Charles Ricketts were partners in art and in life. Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum’s portrait of The Man with a Greek Vase by Shannon depicts Ricketts holding a kylix, a Greek drinking cup, from their personal collection. This kylix now belongs to the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. This display reunites the portrait and kylix and explores the significance of art and collecting in these artists’ lives.
