A new generation of designers are rethinking our relationship to everyday things and shining a light on our damaging culture of waste.
By finding the value in our discarded items and working towards a future of clean materials and a circular economy, we could find a way out of the Waste Age, from fashion, food and electronics, to construction and packaging. This exhibitions examines the contemporary designers working with this ethos and capturing the devastating impact of waste.
Featured exhibits include the work of visionary designers who have been using their platform and practice to reshape how we think about waste, such as fashion designer and environmentalist, Stella McCartney, as well as fresh new faces in design and sustainability such as installation artist, Ibrahim Mahama.
Is design the answer to ending our throwaway culture once and for all?
