The inspiration for Roseanne’s exhibition comes from the landscape and coastline round Gairloch and Aultbea where she lives.

On her daily travels by car or on foot, she’ll catch a glimpse while 'Passing Places' and then work from sketches and memory, using a combination of mixed media, creating layers and texture, evoking the atmosphere and sense of place.

Roseanne has lived in Mellon Charles, Aultbea since the late Sixties and now has her own studio. She returned to study as a mature student, completing a BA (Hons) in painting with The Open College of The Arts and The University for the Creative Arts in 2018.

Roseanne is a member of An Talla Solais Visual Arts in Ullapool as well as the Society of Scottish Artists.
