Three iconic costumes from Marvel Studios’ ground-breaking Black Panther will go on display in Ipswich.

Black Panther was a huge success for Marvel Studios in 2018 and particularly renowned for its celebration of black culture and moving away from traditional superhero narratives. The costumes of characters T’Challa, Shuri and Okoye will be exhibited alongside Marvel comics and historic objects in the museum collection at Christchurch Mansion.

Objects relating to cinema, cartoon and carvings will be available to peruse and the exhibition will look particularly closely at a sense of time and place in storytelling, and how stories have the power to inspire and influence us.
