Artist Grayson Perry brought the nation together in lockdown through the Channel 4 series, Grayson’s Art Club – in a celebration of that incredible creativity, the work of amateur artists, celebrities and seasoned professionals alike is on display.
Bringing together a collection of works completed by members of the public, famous faces such as Noel Fielding, Liza Tarbuck and Joe Lycett, and acclaimed artists such as Chantal Joffe and Antony Gormley, Grayson’s Art Club is a unique record of our extraordinary times.
Featuring paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture and mixed media creations, the artworks on display demonstrate the power of art as a tool for health, happiness and wellbeing. Many people sought solace in creativity throughout lockdown and this exhibition is an amalgamation of the turbulent emotions we’ve all experienced during the pandemic.
While the gallery is closed you can take a virtual tour Grayson's Art Club online, with insights into selected works from the exhibition's curators.
This exhibition was supported by an Art Fund Small Project Grant.
