This immersive experience explores what immigration control could look like in a future where international movement is policed by artificial intelligence.
This immersive installation created by award-winning artists, Anagram, takes the visitor into an imaginary future where immigration and international movement is controlled by machines.
The visitor goes through an imagined border control, policed by a guard driven by artificial intelligence (AI), where your face is your passport. Depending on how you use your passport during your meeting you will be sent to a different place.
A Face to Open Doors invites reflection on the intricate systems currently used to process people fleeing conflict and has been commissioned by IWM as part of Refugees, a free season of exhibitions, commissions and events taking place across IWM London and IWM North in 2020.
