This exhibition has now closed, find out what else is going on at Perth Museum and Art Gallery

This special exhibition showcases how museums look after the fragile objects in their care and will include live conservation of objects from the collection.

Visitors will be able to watch conservators in action as they perform the delicate task of treating museum objects inside the gallery’s purpose-built conservation studio.

Using examples from across Perth Museum & Art Gallery’s collection of over 430,000 objects, this exhibition will highlight the threats to these objects of cultural and historical significance, and the ways in which curators and conservators work to safeguard them for future generations.

Currently Perth Museum & Art Gallery is working towards the ongoing conservation of the Perth Mummy, Ta-Kr-Hb, a project ensuring that this significant, fragile artefact can once again be on display for future generations.
