Exhibiting work by over 120 members of the Colchester and Ipswich Art Societies depicting their mutual border, the River Stour, this exhibition celebrates methods of creating from paintings and print to sculpture and textiles.

Through these pieces, the display considers the meaning of borders: their purpose and what they mean to people both politically and emotionally. Hung geographically to mirror the flow of the river, the works exhibited are expressions of the landscape these two societies share, and the life that surrounds it.

To celebrate the creativity of the region, all the artworks are available to purchase, with proceeds going to Firstsite and the artists in support of future artworks and exhibitions.
