Exploring how the legacy of the Vikings shaped our modern world, in an online revival of the iconic British Museum exhibition in 2014.

Originally shown at the British Museum in 2014, this blockbuster exhibition was a highlight of the decade, following the life of the Vikings from AD 800 – 1500.

The exhibition explored how the Vikings influenced our modern world through their relationship to with water and ship-making, the development of language and their expansion from Scandinavia to connecting four continents across the globe.

Presented by Bettany Hughes and Michael Wood, Vikings Live explores the pieces in the original exhibition such as impressive collections of jewellery, weaponry and maritime objects, looking at their connection to the Viking’s rich history alongside Viking experts and exhibition curators.
