“I don’t think we will have truly reached modernity until we satisfy our needs from our own area of the earth and our own period of time.”

Sebastian Cox, furniture maker, designer and environmentalist believes it is our duty to go above and beyond sustainability to design and make objects in an additive, regenerative manner. Inspired by his recently completed manifesto, Modern Life from Wilder Land, this presentation showcases new prototypes from the Sebastian Cox workshop that actively rebuild our ecological systems to benefit biodiversity and ultimately the planet as a whole. See new and experimental work in clay, leather, hemp, mycelium and wheat.
