Jeremy Gardiner: Coastal Landscapes is temporarily closed until further notice. Please check the venue's website for the latest details.
This exhibition features recent work inspired by travels along the south coast from Cornwall to Kent.
Gardiner’s paintings reflect a deep, long-term interest in the geology of landscape and how it is shaped by the forces of nature. This time Gardiner has not only taken his inspiration from the natural world but from popular portrayals of the south coast in travel posters, guidebooks and postcards.
The exhibition features paintings of iconic subjects such as Durdle Door, Old Harry Rocks, St Michael’s Mount and the Seven Sisters as well as Shell posters, railway posters, postcards and guides.
