Explore how Perth has changed over the years with this photographic exhibition featuring eleven shops in and around the city.

Each of these shops, hotels, cafes, restaurants and bakeries tell a story about food in Perth, using photographs taken between 1876-1948 and today. These buildings are still in use and some are even the same business.

Take the time to look at these buildings and notice elements of the structures that have changed over the years and find out about the characters and history behind these businesses.

This project is part of the Perth Placemakers element of the City Hall Participation Plan. The images have been selected from the Photographic Collection at Perth Museum & Art Gallery and also from within the Perth & Kinross Archive at AK Bell Library in Perth.
