This exhibition has now closed, find out what else is going on at Modern Art Oxford

Focusing on three distinctive areas of her practice, this exhibition is Kiki Smith’s first solo UK exhibition in nearly 25 years.

Kiki Smith (b1954, Nuremberg, Germany, lives and works in New York, USA) is one of the most outstanding artists of her time. This much-anticipated exhibition – organised in close collaboration with the artist – brings together over 80 of her works.

Modern Art Oxford's retrospective exhibition concentrates on three tenets of Smith’s oeuvre: small sculptures created from the mid-1980s to present day; a selection from her printmaking, and the intricate Jacquard tapestries produced since 2012.

‘I am a wanderer’, Kiki Smith says, and as she roams she collects inspiration from a myriad of sources and cultures. Visitors to this exhibition will be transported alongside Smith to a multitude of lands and epochs, discovering new forms, materials and stories.
